Questions & Answers about the New Tag
Hmm . . .It looks the same to me- what is actually different about it (fall ‘26)?
Our software developer has updated our tags with new encrypted information in the barcode and a small premium built into the printed price.
Do I need to do anything differently?
Nope!
Enter and price your items exactly as you always have. The only thing that changes is what prints on the tag. Just like always, the system formats the tags and handles everything automatically.
Will this affect how much I earn?
Nope, again!
You will continue to earn 60% of the price YOU enter. Nothing changes in your payout. You are making the exact same amount!
Can you give me a quick example?
Yes of course! When you enter a tag for $10, you will earn $6 when it sells — exactly as before. (the tag though will automatically print at $10.50 and that’s what the shopper will see.)
So, I need to reprint my tags?
Yes, absolutely. This is important.
All sellers must reprint tags this season. The system will prompt you. If you do not reprint your tags, the system will charge you the premium instead of the shopper!
Why was this change made?
It’s the new industry standard that is being lead by our software developer, and we’re here for it because it allows us to:
Change nothing about how you, our sellers, are paid or about how you enter items
Keep seller fees low and keep payout percentages the same
Continue improving the event experience and offer more perks to our sellers
Align our in-person sales with how our online sales already operate
Contribute to the ever rising costs of software development, marketing, labor & venue rental without affecting seller pay
Does this change how I should price my items?
No. You don’t have to do anything differently.
Price your items exactly as you normally would.
Is this visible to shoppers?
Shoppers simply see the final price on the tag, just like any retail setting.
Anything else I should know?
Nope — everything else about selling with Sail Again stays the same! (Well . . .not everything . . .we are adding some more cool shopping perks for you!)
What does the new tag look like?
Well, it looks remarkably like . . .the old tag! Ha! (but now with the encrypted barcode information!) Here’s an example:
